Feature documentary HELLCAT chronicles Goldman Environmental Prize winner Diane Wilson’s harrowing 35-year war against the petrochemical giants that have polluted, and nearly destroyed, the Texas Gulf Coast bays her family has fished for a century. Written and directed by FAX BAHR (HEARTS OF DARKNESS: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse).
Director's Statment
Diane Wilson is the most astonishing person I’ve ever met. In documenting her journey - a divorced mother of five with a high school education who takes on, and brings to account, one of the largest multinational petrochemical conglomerates on the planet - we built the film as a call to action. If Diane Wilson can do it - a local Waterkeeper with zero resources - we all can.
The real work of this film (after festivals and theatrical/streaming) is for an intensive Impact Campaign. We are planning a series of conferences that feature screening the film, followed along with panels of local activists, microplastic researchers, and environmental lawyers. Grass roots forums for folks who live by, and are most affected by, the toxic discharge from industrial facilities throughout our country, and the planet.
Diane’s fearless activism shows us how to fight, and beat, mega-powerful polluters - on a local level. Please join us in our effort to get this film out with a DONATION.

Tani Cohen - Producer
Rock was Head of Production at Francis Coppola's American Zoetrope and an EP at Lions Gate. He has distributed such films as Mira Nair’s Kama Sutra; Mike Figgis' Stormy Monday; Erroll Morris’ A Brief History of Time; and Fax Bahr’s Hearts of Darkness. Most recently he was Senior Vice President of Acquisitions at Echo Bridge Home Entertainment, and Lightning Entertainment.

Bobby Rock - Producer
A writer, director, and producer, Bahr won a Directing Emmy for Hearts Of Darkness, A Filmmaker’s Apocalypse. Bahr has screenwriting credits on five feature films, and has served as Show Runner on eight network television series. His credits include Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa, Malibu’s Most Wanted, In Living Color, and MadTV. More recently, he produced the documentaries Doin’ My Drugs, Out From The Ashes, and is currently producing the documentary series Our Game. He lives with his wife in Los Angeles. Their three children are scattered across the country, doing good things.

CC Goldwater - Producer
CC produced the Emmy-nominated Mr. Conservative: Goldwater on Goldwater, a documentary based on the life of her grandfather Senator Barry Goldwater. She has received numerous awards for her work with nonprofit organizations including WaterKeeper Alliance, Rainforest Alliance, and The Rita Hayworth Alzheimer Foundation. She currently serves as a Trustee for Planned Parenthood of Arizona.
Cohen has produced 17 feature films including Inside Monkey Zetterland, HBO’s Mr. Conservative: Goldwater on Goldwater, No Pay Nudity, The Dust Factory, Guinevere, and The Souler Opposite. She was Emmy-nominated for Showtime's Snow in August. In 2019 Cohen partered with industry veteran Bobby Rock to form Team 713 Entertainment, a production and management company.
Brown’s short film Molly’s Pilgrim won an Oscar for Best Dramatic Short. His feature directorial debut Sold won jury and audience awards at film festivals internationally and was featured by the UN to 500 NGOs in over 30 countries. Subsequent directing credits include The Wonder Years, LA Law, Hooperman, and a CBS special for which he won a an Emmy. Jeffrey is dedicated to telling stories that create impact.
Harris has produced or EP’ed 60 feature films, including Academy Award nominees Trial of the Chicago Seven and The Kids Are All Right. Six of his films, including Bottle Shock and the recent documentary Speak, have screened at Sundance. His stage work has included musical adaptations of Heathers, Dr. Zhivago, American Psycho, and Buena Vista Social Club, which was nominated for 10 Tonys. He is s a 25-year member of the Motion Picture Academy.
